Felix Cartal makes popular music

in tour news, upcoming releases

Felix CartalIt’s the Feez! We love this guy. Felix Cartal (né Taelor Deitcher) is the Vancouver-based, Crown Royal-drinking, Twitter-loyalist, wunderkind DJ who has spent the last few years playing with MSTRKRFT, A-Trak, as well as non-Canadian dance music makers and is now releasing his debut artist album. Releasing through Dim Mak on February 23, Popular Music will include the title track as well as “Drone,” a track he sent out late last summer. Unlike some of his peers, the Feez’s music eschews the shoe-in-a-dryer aesthetic, opting for a more melodic-based construction. Cartal tours this month, starting next week at home  and possibly through WMC in Miami (there are no dates posted at this time).
