There isn’t exactly a groundswell for Samsung phones… they’re probably just the ones you get because they’re affordable. But the ad for the Omnia that premiered before Christmas certianly had us sold on the spot’s other product, the music of The Happy Hollows. With a tense and terse electric guitar and a snarling vocal, the band seemed not only glamourous but musically adept. The forthcoming debut, Spells, due out next week, should deliver on the promise. Signed to LA’s Autumn Tone Records, the HH play one gig next month and then a couple at SXSW. More on their ‘Space.
