“This is a dollar sign [tattoo], because I’m fuckin money.” And it’s pretty much downhill from there. Whether she’s showing us her craptastic hipster clothing collection, playing a whopping four chords on a piano, basking in the glow of Dr. Luke’s praises or letting us hear her unfiltered karaoke quality singing voice, there is nothing endearing about Ke$ha (née Kesha Sebert) in this video (or any we’ve seen to-date). But we do have to thank her: she’s everything everyone loathes about young Hollywood and that’s always fun to hate on.
When artists with complicated production release an acoustic rendition of their work it’s for one of two reasons: either the power went out on a session and didn’t come back on until it was on deadline, or they want some credibility for their craft. It appears to be the latter for Frankmusik who just yesterday released an acoustic version of his debut album, Complete Me. The stripped down version is aptly titled Completely Me. Actually, that’s not apt at all. It’s confusing. He just posted a five and a half minute medley of songs from the unplugged redux. Enjoy.
Infusion are like a best kept secret of Australian music. Their first album won a bunch of Arias and had them tour the world, largely as an “electronic” rock band. That they are, but they’re more than any one genre too. “Try It On” is the harbinger of their forthcoming sophomore album and this video is a technicolor dream.
