Don’t get us wrong, we love Miike Snow. When two of our favorite electro/pop songwriter/producer guys (Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, better known as Bloodshy & Avant) formed a band (with Andrew Wyatt), it was like permission to no longer feel guilty for genuinely liking “Toxic” or thinking “It Takes More” is Ms. Dynamite’s best track. And then there are all those songs on Kylie’s X… but we digress. With the announcement of another full band North American tour this coming spring, it’s clear Miike Snow is no longer a side project or an excuse for studio dudes to go outside. Sigh. In fact, this shit’s only getting bigger. With tracks featured on Gossip Girl and a distribution deal for the album through Universal Republic, it might be a while before Sweden’s secret pop mechanics are back behind the boards for a third party pop act. Tour dates below. Oh, and we should assume that the absence of a Los Angeles date, the geographically logical next stop on this tour, means they’ll be playing Coachella the weekend of April 16. Betcha 5 krona.
