Dan Black is somewhat hard to classify – he’s a pop singer, for sure, but he also has enough electro skill to be an indie breakout star. From the strings and unexpected chorus on opening track, “Symphonies,” on his debut album, ((Un)), it’s clear there’s more than just a hook in store of Black’s songcraft. Black is doing a few showcase shows in NY and LA later this month. The album drops stateside in February.
