Felix Cartal vs. his computer

On Friday night at a gig in San Diego Felix Cartal placed his cup of Crown Royal on the rocks behind his laptop as he usually does, so while he’s playing he won’t knock it over. Little did the club’s sound guy know this and accidently knocked the drink over, spilling onto the DJ’s laptop a mere 10 seconds into his first track. As he tweeted the next day, his computer didn’t like Crown nearly as much as he does. The MacBook was drowned, but the hard drive was recovered. The next day, after a train ride from SD to LA, The Feez visited an Apple store and was able to drop the old hard drive into a brand new MacBook. He was able to play his gig at Vanguard at 2am without a hitch.

The lesson here is don’t place liquids near your electronics. Or, drink your Canadian whiskey faster.
